Third-party logistics company Globe Express Services has opened an office in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, to tap into the Southeast Asian nation's potential, after Cambodia's government approved the launch.

"We feel Cambodia is the next area of growth after Vietnam,” said Georges Mejaes, Globe’s executive director. "In order to better service the needs of our customers, Cambodia needs to be an integral part of our global network."

The new office is located in the Toul Kork District of Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia. GES expects continued gains for the country, which experienced economic growth of 10 percent in 2007. According to the World Bank, Cambodia's growth has averaged 9 percent annually since 1998 and is the second-fastest growing country in Asia, behind China, in terms of annual rise in GDP.
