DIC boosts Cambodian timber harvesting and building materials exports to Cambodia

The Ho Chi Minh City based Trade and Investment Joint-Stock Company (DIC) has just held a working session on Cambodian timber harvesting and building materials exports to the Cambodian market with Cambodian business representatives.

And the session DIC announced that it expected to exploit some 50,000 ha of forests in Cambodia and that the exploitation time will last 10 years.

Chief of the Timber Products Section of DIC Nguyen Thanh The said that, in addition to Cambodia, Myanmar and Laos also have long been traditional markets providing timber materials to the company.

Regarding the export of building materials, the officials from the company said that DIC will export some 20,000 tonnes of cement and 300,000 square meters of colored ceramic tiles to Cambodia.
