STUDENT BAG SNATCHERS CAUGHT
Three students were arrested by Chamkarmon police when they snatched a purse from a woman who was travelling along Monireth Boulevard in Damkor commune, Tuol Kork district, Phnom Penh, on Sunday. The three arrested were Suon Sopheara, 20, Ra Tharith, 17, and Phuong Sophorn, 17.

19-YEAR-OLD GIRL POISONS SELF
Neith Sophanith, 19, died at hospital two hours after she purposely ingested poison in her house in Morn Chae village, Prey Nhy commune, Pursat district and province, on Sunday because her father, South Ki, blamed her for going out with her friends too often and wasting money.

MAN ARRESTED FOR ATTEMPTED RAPE
A man first broke into a victim's house and stole two cellphones successfully. Later, he went back again in an attempt to rape the victim. But he was caught and taken to the police station. The incident happened in Pralay Prak village, Angkor Ban commune, Sampov Loun district, Battambang province, on Saturday. Police identified the suspect as Sar Chamreoun, 18.

MAN BEATEN, KILLED FOR STEALING BIKE
A man was arrested by Ang Snuol police, while another was beaten to death by villagers after the two stole a woman's motorbike. The incident happened on Saturday in Takouk village, Kwaing commune, Ponhea Leu district, Kandal province. Police arrested 39-year-old Ao Sambath, from Village 4, Punsaing commune, Ang Snuol district, Kandal province. The victim was Moeun Thida, 21, a resident of Boeung Raing commune, Daun Penh district, Phnom Penh. The victim went to the village to visit her relatives. Police said the two had successfully robbed four others previously. They did not have a gun, and they robbed only women.

K CHAM GAMING HALLS RAIDED
Two gaming dens were raided by Kampong Cham police on Friday, who confiscated three videogames and arrested three owners. One of the owners was Sin Sinal, 45, living in Cheung Wat village, Vihear Luong commune. Sun Bunleang, 52, and his son Sam Mao, 28, were also arrested.
