PURSAT MOTODOP MEETS WATERY END
A man’s body was pulled from a river after he left home to work as a mototaxi driver last week in Pursat province’s Bakan district. Police said that Doum Yuth, 29, was probably killed by robbers, judging by the bruises on his neck. Police added that they were searcing for the attackers and hoped to arrest them soon.

GET-RICH-QUICK SCHEME BACKFIRES
Three people were arrested and sent to the police station because they used counterfeit dollars in the market in Tramkok district of Takeo province. Police said that the group had paid the fake dollars in Battambang, Banteay Meanchey, Kratie, Prey Veng and Takeo provinces, and that they were arrested while they were changing dollars into Cambodian riels. They were sent to the police station in order to prepare documents to send them to court.

WIFE KILLS ANGRY, DRUNKEN HUSBAND
A woman in Kampong Cham province’s Kampong Siem district killed her husband because she could not endure that he drank and cursed her almost every day.
The dead man’s wife, Heng Sreynuch, 31, told the police that she wanted to kill her husband a long time ago, but that her relatives told her not to do it. Police said that on September 11, she could not control herself and had the chance to kill him, so she killed him with poison and beat him on the head with a stick.

PICKPOCKETS PAY FOR BRIGHT IDEA
Two pickpockets were arrested while they were picking a woman’s handbag in Chamkarmon district on September 8. Both offenders told the police that they were driving a motorbike along the road, and then they saw a woman carrying a black handbag. They thought that it would have a lot of money in it, and that’s why they had the idea to pick it, the suspects said.

WAREHOUSE GUARD ROBBED AND KILLED
A man died in a warehouse last week in Chamkarmon district after being hit with a blunt weapon on his head, police said. The man was discovered in his room when other workers arrived at the warehouse. Police added that the man was killed by robbers who took his motorbike and some money, but that they have not yet arrested any suspects.
