Gangsters stage theatrical melee
A group of wine-drunk gangsters in Battambang province’s Thmor Kaul district on Thursday disrupted a play by storming the stage and assaulting the actors. As an audience of about 100 looked on, the gangsters attacked one actor and tore the dress off another, 24-year-old Ry Sarom, who said they had been drinking wine beneath the stage and had been asked to leave. Two men were arrested, while police Chief Yim Vichet said authorities were looking for eight accomplices.
