Siem Reap, Cambodia, June 15, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Travelers from around the world may now book on-line private tours through Global-Explore's newest website prior to visiting Siem Reap, Cambodia. Siem Reap is the focal point for touring the extraordinary ruins of Angkor Wat.

Previously, booking a tour guide in Cambodia has been subject to high hotel surcharges, and even scams. On-line booking has generally been limited to package hotel + tour combos which restrict traveler choices on hotel accommodations and increased the chance that tours would be lumped into large buses with unknown crowds.

Global Explore has simplified this process by opening a new secure website which allows individuals or groups on-line booking of private tours. Tourists may visit www.global-explore.com/cambodia to view three suggested itineraries, or simply contact a Global Explore staff member to customize specific tour requests.

The temples of Angkor were crafted by the Khmer civilization between 802 and 1220 AD and represent one of humankind's most astonishing architectural achievements. The Angkor complex was recently featured in the National Geographic Traveler Magazine, and was the backdrop for the movie 'Tomb Raider,' starring Angelina Jolie.
