INTERNATIONAL Data Group will hold its second conference this month in a bid to improve the Kingdom’s finance sector.

The event, Enhancing Financial Service Industry with ICT (information and communications technology) Applications, will showcase tech from countries across the world.

It will be held from September 29 to 30 at the Diamond Island Convention Centre, in Phnom Penh, in collaboration with Ministry of Economy and Finance.

“The conference will bring together experts from the financial sector such as the securities market, insurance sector and fund management companies to present and share their knowledge and expertise” said Thanh Tam, president of IDG, during a press briefing.

“I think the conference can give opportunities to the private sector to seek business or investment through introductions,” added Undersecretary General of the MEF, Ros Seilava.

Thanh Tam said that specialists from United States, Spain, Singapore, Germany, Philippine, Vietnam and Cambodia would be present.

Forecasting, data storage and network security would be discussed.
